Collaborate: The FÖJ at the Forest Adventure Centre

About the FÖJ

The Voluntary Ecological Year (Freiwilliges Ökologisches Jahr, FÖJ) is an educational and orientation year for teenagers and young adults between the ages of 16 and 26. We offer you a comprehensive insight into various "green professions" and let you try your own hand. The focal points of your year with us are: Educational and public relations work, practical nature conservation tasks, technical environmental protection and forestry work.
We expect you to be interested in environmental protection and nature conservation and to work full time. In return, we offer you accommodation, pocket money, 26 vacation days, accident and social insurance, work clothes and tools.

Field report

The FÖJ candidates of the year 2022/23

We are Isabelle from near Heidelberg and Florian from the Heilbronn region. We are very happy to be able to complete our Voluntary Ecological Year at the Forest Adventure Centre Füssen-Ziegelwies. Our volunteering site includes a varied work environment and ranges from the alluvial forest to the mountain forest..

During the forest educational tours, we mainly take care of school classes and kindergarten groups. We very much hope that we can support the Forest Adventure Centre with our work and look forward to learning many new things.

We would like to develop further by working more independently and learning to take responsibility.

Application for the FÖJ:
